Nursery Facilities and Rooms
The nursery is split into three different areas identified by different colours:
Babies Green and Yellow rooms for 3 months to 18 months
Toddlers Blue & Orange Rooms for 18 months to 2.5 years and
Pre-schoolers Red Room for 2 .5 to 5 years
Nursery Philosophy
The children within the setting are provided with first hand exploratory experiences and play based activities which provide children with opportunities to talk, interact and socialise. The practitioners also support and encourage the children to explore, investigate and be creative in their own ways and personalities. All children are encouraged to make their own little choices.
Foundation Stage
At the Bridgewood Day Nursery we use the Early Years Foundation Stage which is the educational statutory framework used for children from birth up to the age of 5years. The EYFS is promoting children learning through play in all seven areas of learning and development.
